This hands-on Premiere Pro editing course will take you through the editing process from start to finish. You will work on a basic project from setting up to video capture and final stages of the edit. You will learn how to create professional looking projects by adding motion graphics, effects and textures with built in integration tool in After Effects.

Topics covered

The course will take you through an editors workflow throughout the different stages of post production.

You will gain an insight into digital video equipment, video formats, technology, editing and develop good working practices for professional work.

Working in Adobe CC eliminates the need to export files from one software to another, and thus you will keep the file quality intact.

Who should take this course?

This course is aimed at those who want to learn editing, brush up on their software skills and understand post production workflows. It will be useful for editors, animators and visual artists.

Entry requirements

No prior experience is required although it would be useful if you have had some prior editing experience and are comfortable using a computer.

There are a maximum of nine students enrolled on each session to ensure that you get plenty of one-to-one tuition from your tutor and the class can work at a speed to suit the whole group.



Tutor information

Kimmo Moykky is a Finnish filmmaker and editor. He works as an A/V Technician at Central Saint Martin's College in 4D Film and Video area, teaches film production and editing at St Patrick’s College, City Lit and Artscom in London. He co-directed his first feature film The Viva Voce Virus in 2008. For 2013 he is completing his second feature X-tine’s Diary and collaboration with Kevin Rowe animation/ green screen based short film Elisavita.
