Description

Fashion blogging is an important form of fashion media that has a wide reach and the possibility of generating significant income. In this beginners course you'll learn how to create compelling online content, blogging for online publications, and how to create blog content to promote a business and increase its search engine optimization. This course is an introduction to fashion blogging, but we won't only be exploring how to shoot your outfit of the day.

Topics covered

To make the most of the course, students should arrive with a basic blog - including a domain name and a set up. Those who don't will have the opportunity to create their own or blog on a platform created for the course.

Students will be introduced to the key components of online writing, including hyperlinks, categories, and tags.

We will look at using social media to promote a blog and its content.

There will be a session on blogging for business: its purpose, how to create content, and how to use it to maximize sales.

Many major online magazines have blog content to compliment their monthly or daily articles, so we will look at the different types of publications who offer blogs and how to write for them.

We will consider strategies for making money from your blog through affiliates, collaborations, and using it as a CV.

Who should take this course?

This class is geared at anyone looking to write a blog, write for an online publication who uses a blog format, or blog for a business. Students should arrive for the first session with some ideas for their blogs.
