Description

CONNECT, COLLABORATE, INNOVATE is a mantra adopted by smart companies big and small. Companies with the innovation gene switched on display creativity, powerful networks and the ability to experiment without fear of failure.

This 10 week course addresses the following key questions: How do you innovate? What mindset, process and environment do you need to have in order to innovate? How can your team come up with innovative solutions, products or services? Generating ideas is great, but it doesn't end there. How can you use those brilliant ideas to create value?

Topics covered

Through ample activities and innovation games, the participants will learn how to challenge assumptions, reflect on their own mindset, create the right environment for innovation and form the right networks to innovate with.

Through hands-on workshops, participants will learn how to frame and define challenges by using research, observation, and empathy. They will use sense making tools and techniques, both individually and in small groups to find needs, frame and define challenges and use the design thinking process to go from needs and opportunities to solutions that are innovative, that can be implemented and bring value to the company, individual and society.

Participants will learn how to fail early by using experimentation tools, like prototyping, feedback, testing and refining.

During the course you will apply the process and tools to real challenges. You will also learn how to tell the innovation story by using a multitude of media and languages of expression.

You will have plenty of practice to create the confidence to apply the design thinking innovation process to your context and challenges.
