Description

Ewa Gargulinska explores imagination in her teaching and in her own painting practice. In this unique course, through a series of visual exercises, students will be inspired to liberate their creative potential. The experimental nature of the exercises will enable their original development in technique, colour and composition as a part of the visual process in expressing imagination. Students will be guided to find and use their imagination through the medium of painting.

Topics covered

There will be a verbal introduction as well as an interactive group workshop to prepare the ground to access the world of the creative mind using text, sound, colour, music and acting.

The exercises will be given daily with a key word to which students will respond spontaneously with their individual ideas and free associations.

On completion of the course students will be able to use creative intelligence to see and respond differently to stimuli instead of restricting themselves to automatic and predictable solutions.

They will understand in practice what is involved in the creative process and what it takes to be an artist, including vision, intuition, imagination and technique.

Student will become confident to apply their awakened imagination into other areas of their lives: to practice mindfulness, fully appreciate vision stimulus, and to explore the joy of imaginative thinking.

Who should take this course?

Anyone interested in knowing how to awaken their imagination and to express it visually.

Entry requirements: None
