By equipping you with the key practical and conceptual skills needed to tackle any drawing subject this course will demystify the act of drawing. It is designed for total beginners and for students who want to proceed onto foundation courses or further study in art and design.

Topics covered

  • Drawing materials, methods and subject composition will be explored.
  • Space and form of both objects and figures will be covered.
  • There will be fun, practical studio demonstrations.
  • A stage by stage approach will enable you to build up a solid working base from which you can develop your own particular style.

Level: Beginners

Please note: This course is for students aged 18 and older

Tutor information

Peter Towse is a practising artist with fifteen years practical experience of the fashion business. He teaches story boarding to MA film directors and was also area leader for fashion on the Foundation course at Central Saint Martins.



Materials


Please bring with you to the first session:

  • 8 sheets of A1 cartridge paper
  • 3 medium density charcoal sticks.
