Design and Make A Printed Shirt for 16 to 18 Year Olds
This two-week course will take you through the whole process of constructing and finishing a shirt to designing a printed fabric to make it out of. You will create your own unique shirt learning a range of new skills as you work. Resulting in something you can wear, use in your portfolio for application to Art School or both...

You will start the course by making a shirt toile (making your shirt in a test fabric to ensure that the fit and cut is perfect). The next stage is to research and design your pattern, printing your final design on fabric that you will use to make your own unique shirt.
By the end of the course you will have a finished printed shirt and pattern, a sketchbook full of inspired design ideas, skills in print, working with a pattern and toile, techniques for construction a shirt
Who should take this course
This course is aimed at students aged 16 to 18 who are studying art and design or fashion at college. No prior experience of the techniques covered in the course are required.
No prior sewing or print making experience is required
