Description

This course is for anyone who enjoys working with womens old/vintage garments and creating something completely new out of them. You will be given a combination of new and old garments and asked to source trims, fabrics and buttons if required. Please bring along any sourced vintage or old or new items of clothing you wish to include and work with.

By experimenting/deconstructing on the mannequin with draping, cutting and sewing, you will develop your design ideas and further inspiration. As well as your explorations and experimentations you will also gain a range of sewing techniques, finishes and patterns for an outfit or even several designed garments. We will discuss and document the creative process at several stages.

Please note that this is not a dressmaking course.
