Behind every photo story there lies a concept. Styling is not just a coincidental creation but rather a composition of carefully chosen elements. May it be in an artistic photo series or an editorial in Vogue, the concept needs to be strong. During this course we are exploring the elements of fashion styling and putting together a unique fashion story, working in small groups. We will learn how to research and create a clear visual communication of our concept while working in teams. With the visualisation of our story on a mood board or sketchbook we will explore all elements in styling. This is a course for all levels. Although we will be working in groups for some days of the course, each student will be challenged individually.
Following her graduation from the acclaimed Fashion MA at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design, Petra launched EINE in summer 2013.
She developed her dressmaking and design skills while working alongside innovative designers such as Haider Ackermann (http://www.haiderackermann.be/), Hussein Chalayan(http://husseinchalayan.com/) and Peter Jensen (http://peterjensen.co.uk/).
Her work is distinguished by its strong tailoring and its unabashed celebration of woman. While pursuing her profession as a designer, Petra is teaching subjects including fashion design, pattern cutting, drawing and styling at Central Saint Martins College, Norwich University of the Arts and the London Art Portfolio.
