Description

This five day course focuses on research and development with a focus on fashion and textiles. Throughout this course you will be thinking outside of the box and aiming to be more creative with your research and development skills. You will be encouraged to develop your own design identity by constantly collating ideas from your creative archive of themes, so that you can dip into this as a source of inspiration as you generate future projects.

Within the creative research, drawing and mixed media work we will also concentrate on areas of colour and scale that will get you discovering new concepts and ideas. We will have group critiques, discussions and editing, which will help you develop informed decisions and learn to communicate your aesthetic through your unique visual presentation style.

By the end of the course you will have explored news approaches to design and creative ways of generating research and imagery.

Students will take away a body of creative visual research that is unique to them. This archive that they will have created can be a source of reference and inspiration for future projects.
