This beginners course introduces anyone interested in learning 3D visual effects and animation to Maya, the industry standard software used in the Film, TV and Games Industries. It will give you a solid foundation in the core software tools to produce a short animated sequence.

There are a maximum of nine students enrolled on each session. This is to ensure that you get plenty of one-to-one tuition from your tutor and the class can work at a speed to suit the whole group.

Entry requirements: None. However, ideally students should have access to Maya software to practice outside class time. They may use the computers in the College's library and the Learning Zone (1st floor) for the duration of the course.

Kevin Rowe is an experienced practitioner and tutor in animation and VFX at a range of leading HE institutions.
