Tracey Wong graduated from BA Womenswear in 2011 and was selected to work on this exciting brief for fast fashion brand, OVS. Luxury fashion designer, Matthew Williamson, himself a Central Saint Martins graduate was appointed by OVS as a mentor to Tracey throughout the project.
The leading Italian brand is launching a new initiative – #Fashion For Young Generations (F4YG) which sees the company working with leading fashion schools around the world to provide a platform for young emerging international talent. Tracey Wong is the first designer to launch a capsule collection under the new initiative with the launch of 17 ready-to-wear pieces on 20 April.
For her mini collection, Tracey focused on silhouette proportions and intelligent design details and merged this with Matthew Williamson’s more earthy and bohemian sensibility to produce a stunning collection suitable for the young clients that F4YG will appeal to.
To communicate the partnering with CSM with this project, OVS and creative ad agency WRG chose to shoot the collection here at CSM, with a giant Alice in Wonderland-esque girl crawling through the college dressed in an outfit chosen by Matthew and Tracey.
