Ochirly A/W 2014
Following on from the A/W 2013 visual merchandising graduate consultancy project, Ochirly ran an A/W 2014 window display project with three teams of graduates from different discipline areas – MA Narrative Environments, BA Fashion Communication and Promotion and BA Graphic Design.
The challenge was to create a design concept for the Ochirly Autumn Visual Merchandising campaign, which is strategically one of the most important in the retail calendar.
Following the project briefing the graduates worked in teams to research and develop three different design directions, presented as initial sketches and at the interim review the client chose the winning team of graduates – Melanie Dautreppe-Liermann and Margherita Brooke-Huntley, BA Graphic Design graduates.
Their theme was 'Remake your Wardrobe' and was inspired by the feeling of autumnal comfort featuring used textured fabrics, warm colours, and over-sized circular shapes. The scheme conveyed the need to be surrounded by warmth as the season changes.
The AW 2014 design concept was implemented in the Ochirly retail spaces in July 2014 across the brands 800 stores in 28 provinces and cities in China.
Ochirly said of the project: “We appreciate the professionalism and creativity of the CSM design team…the journey was full of creativity and innovation".
