Chinese e-commerce brand AMII has collaborated with Central Saint Martins and Rebecca Jeffs, BA (Hons) Fashion Graduate 2015, on a capsule collection for their Spring/Summer 2016 campaign.
Each season AMII creates special collections across fashion categories including womenswear, shoes, bags and accessories and for Spring/Summer 2016, three CSM graduates were carefully selected and briefed to create and present concepts for AMII’s womenswear capsule collection.
Asked to draw inspiration from a minimalist architecture and art theme, each graduate submitted fashion sketches for 15 to 20 garments while working under the guidance of Creative Project Director Sarah Gresty, Senior Academic Leader on BA and MA Fashion courses. Rebecca Jeff’s designs were selected from amongst this group and AMII’s team quickly transformed her idea’s into reality, with the collection launching mere weeks after design concepts were submitted.
