CSM x Foundling Museum

Based on collections at the Foundling Museum this project will research and interpret an aspect of the Foundling Museums’ collection; presenting contemporary responses at school, undergraduate and professional levels.

A selection of BA Jewellery Design students will work alongside three UAL staff members, accessing the collection and developing ideas. Each will produce work in response to the Foundling Museum’s collection. Some of the results will be on display in the museum at the end of the project.

Drawing upon their research and experience, the students will deliver a workshop for local school groups, overseen by staff. The benefit for the undergraduates is to communicate their ideas to school students, creating an informative and enthusiastic experience of the collection.

This project aims to promote the museum to a wider audience and enhance undergraduate learning by offering students an opportunity to participate in a unique project.
