Model Making Workshop (Metal)
Our metal workshop is equipped to facilitate students in both large and small-scale fabrication and construction, including welding, plasma cutting, brazing and forging.
Facilities include pillar drills, a metal chop saw, band saws and bench grinders and polishers as well as a range of hand tools.
The Metal Fabrication/Machine Workshop is split into two distinct areas:
• Machine shop
• Adjacent open benching (hand tool area)
Typical activities carried out in these areas include:
• Lathe operation
• Sand blasting

Learn how to understand various materials and how to make them into wonderful models and prototypes using many interesting processes (Lathework/Milling/Welding/Fabrication).
