Selecting & Integrating E-Learning Tools

Introduction

This workshop explores a variety of e-learning tools and techniques which can aid teaching and learning.

Who should attend?

Teaching staff already familiar with Blackboard who wish to explore and test additional eLearning tools.

What is the overall aim?

This workshop gives participants the opportunity to review, explore, test and discuss a variety of e-learning tools to see how they can aid teaching and learning.

What are the expected Learning Outcomes?

By the end of the session participants will be more familiar with a variety of e-learning tools and techniques and able to identify which are most appropriate for their teaching.

On completing the workshop the participants should be able to:

  • Identify a variety of e-learning tools which can aid their teaching.
  • Explore the benefits and risks of using externally hosted tools in the teaching and learning process.
  • Work with a variety of tools, including
    • Blogs
    • ePortfolios
    • Wimba
    • Additional Web 2.0 Resources
  • Understand how to effectively use and embed video and audio.
  • Access additional advice, support and resources.
