Exploring Inclusivity in Learning and Teaching
Introduction
The creative global sector is becoming increasingly diverse and collaborative. This course provides an introduction to developing inclusive practice in art, design and communications. You will have an opportunity to explore pedagogical approaches to inclusive curriculum and discuss the models of good practice currently undertaken across UAL.
Who should attend?
Creative Practitioners, Management Staff, Teaching staff and Technicians, Library staff Support staff.
What is the overall aim?
To provide an opportunity for staff to discuss pedagogical approaches to inclusive learning experiences within art, design and communications in higher education.
What are the expected Learning Outcomes?
By the end of the session, you will have:
- Explored the significance of identity, representation and diversity within art and design pedagogy.
- Discussed ways in which curriculum can be developed to reflect the interests of a diverse group of learners.
- Examined approaches to managing accessible and inclusive learning environments.
- Understood the significance of diversity to creative sector careers.
