UAL Teaching Awards 2012

 

UAL’s new Teaching Awards will:
• Recognise and acclaim excellent teachers
• Raise the profile of excellent teaching in the university
• Provide a stepping stone towards further recognition
• Reward innovations which take forward University strategic priorities
• Enable networks of staff who can support one another and champion teaching innovations

Up to three awards will be made to each College, to individual teachers and teams. The awards are open to any staff who meet the criteria. Nominations can come from the individuals, from their managers or from colleagues.

There are two categories of award:

Award Category 1: Student Experience
Recognises individuals or teams who have made a substantial and significant positive impact on the student experience.

Award Category 2: Teaching Development
Recognises individuals or teams who have made the strongest contribution to developing teaching in areas of institutional priority

Award winners will receive a certificate and lunch at the Degree Award Ceremonies in July 2012, and be invited to present on an aspect of their work at UAL’s next Learning and Teaching Conference in January 2013.

Making an Application
Submit completed forms to Ellen Anderson by 16th April 2012.

A panel comprising the Associate Deans Learning and Teaching and up to four other members of the Learning and Teaching Sub-Committee will make the awards. Award winners will be announced by 1st June 2012.
