Teaching Qualifications
Changes to the Professional Development courses offered by CLTAD
What's new?
We are currently validating a new CPD (continuing professional development) programme that will allow participants to select from a range of credit-bearing units. These units can be taken in isolation or as part of a professional qualification (Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma or MA in Academic Practice in Art, Design and Communication).
Will I still be able to do the Postgraduate Certificate?
Yes. The PG Cert requires 60 credits in total. The units will now be delivered in intensive block sessions, supported by online learning. The next intake will be in September 2011.
How do I apply?
For internal UAL staff: to register interest in doing the PG Cert, please contact:
CCW: Nancy Buabeng n.buabeng@wimbledon.arts.ac.uk
LCF: Jennifer Ugoji j.ugoji@fashion.arts.ac.uk
CSM: Alexandra Lumley a.lumley@csm.arts.ac.uk
LCC: Lyla Quinn l.c.quinn@lcc.arts.ac.uk
Who pays?
A limited number of funded places will be available annually. Funded places are allocated by the colleges. Enquiries about funding should be directed to the above college contacts.
I've already got a PG Cert - would this count towards a higher qualification?
Yes; you will be able to carry forward 40 credits from your PG Cert onto further study.
Can I choose any units I like?
The professional qualifications require a blend of core units and optional units.
