Lucy Kimbell, AHRC Design Research Fellow, Policy Lab, and principal research fellow at the University of Brighton
Lucy Kimbell is a researcher, designer and educator exploring how design-based practices intersect with management, policy and innovation. She is currently a principal research fellow at the University of Brighton, embedded in the cross-government Policy Lab through an AHRC design research fellowship.
Kimbell has taught design thinking and service design on the MBA at Said Business School for a decade, and more recently developed a creativity-based MBA for Central Saint Martins.
Kimbell is currently co-investigator on ProtoPublics, a project for the AHRC which prototypes new ways of doing cross-disciplinary, design-oriented research. Her 'Service Innovation Handbook' was published in early 2015.
