Professor Graeme Evans
Dr Graeme Evans is Professor of Urban Cultures and Design at Middlesex University.
Evans also holds a special chair in Culture and Urban Development at Maastricht University Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. He is one of the leading researchers in the field of Creative and Cultural Cities, the role of Culture in Regeneration and Place Making, and Mega-Events, leading studies for the Culture Ministry (DCMS) and cultural agencies on these and related topics.
Evans has been directly involved in the London 2012 Olympic site development since inception (see ‘London 2012’ in Olympic Cities, Routledge; and ‘Designing Legacy and the Legacy of Design’, in Architecture Research Quarterly, 2015).
Evans is currently leading a study of the Lower Lee Valley as part of Cultural Planning and Hydrocitizenship research projects under the AHRC Connected Communities programme.
