Professor Catherine Moriarty
Professor Catherine Moriarty, Curatorial Director of Design Archives and Professor of Art and Design History, University of Brighton.
Moriarty was co-author of the Lund Humphries book on Abram Games published in 2003, she wrote about Cuban posters for the 2008 Brighton Photo Biennial and, in 2013, wrote the essay 'Drawing, writing and curating: Barbara Jones and the art of arrangement' to accompany the Whitechapel Gallery exhibition ‘Black Eyes and Lemonade: Curating Popular Art’.
Moriarty has written books on the sculptors Gilbert Ledward (2003) and Paul Montford (2013) and is co-editor of the Sculpture Journal.
Moriarty is currently leading an Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) project Exploring British Design, that investigates professional networks in the context of the archive.
