I found out about the Chelsea College of Arts courses in Dubai through InsideOut and I was inspired to book courses so I could keep informed and educated about what’s happening in the industry. Knowing Chelsea College’s reputation in London meant that I jumped at the chance of taking courses with them here in Dubai!
Before I started the courses, I felt very excited to be learning new things and meeting others in Dubai who share my passion for design. Once I got started, I was very impressed with the depth of knowledge and the experience of the tutors. The material covered was excellent – very relevant and informative. My first thoughts were that there was a large amount to get through, but the courses are so enjoyable it doesn’t really feel like work.
My favourite element of all the courses was their practical application – you finish a course feeling like you’ve gained practical knowledge and an increased skill set that you’ll immediately be able to introduce into your professional work. Even though they’re short courses, you can re-apply the process when working on your own projects and really put into practice what you’ve been taught.
I’m always recommending the courses – to friends and other designers.
My one piece of advice to someone who is unsure about studying these courses is: Do it! Whether it’s to further your career, start a new career or simply as a hobby, you’d never be disappointed with any of the Chelsea College of Arts Short Courses.
