Description

Join this course to gain an understanding as to how you can apply interior design skills, marketing tools, communication and project management to extend your brand or launch work and products to new and existing audiences. After more than 10 years of experimenting, Pop-Ups are now becoming a serious business and the go-to marketing strategy. A “pop-up” is a short-term, temporary retail or exhibition event that is "here today, gone tomorrow". Pop-up shops allow designers and creatives to communicate their work and products to their specific targeted audiences and customers through the use of an exciting, unique and engaging temporary environment; creating a long term, lasting impression. You will learn how to visualise a space with a short lifespan, that is modular and can be repurposed, built up and broken down simply and efficiently.

Topics covered:

  • Why you need a POP UP event

  • How to pick the perfect POP UP location

  • Interior design and layout

  • Retail merchandising, inventory and in-store displays

  • Visual merchandising with creative window displays

  • Signage and visual communication

  • Technical requirements and E-commerce

  • Marketing and promotion for your POP UP space through social media

  • Evaluating your POP UP event.
