This course will show you how you can apply interior design skills, communication, marketing tools and project management to enhance your brand or launch products and work to new and established audiences. Pop-Ups are well established as a credible and effective marketing strategy. The “pop-up” is a temporary, retail or exhibition event. "Here today, gone tomorrow". Pop-Ups allow designers and creatives to showcase and promote their work and products to specific customers and targeted audiences through the use of a unique, engaging and exciting temporary environment, yet often resulting with long term, lasting impressions. With the guidance of an professional designer, you will learn how to visualise a space with a short, sustainable lifespan. A space that is modular and that can be repurposed, built up and broken down simply and efficiently.

Tutor information

Valentina Gonzalez Wohlers (Mexico City, 1977) is a Product and interior designer based in London. Before entering Central Saint Martins to complete an MA in Contemporary Furniture (LDN 2005-2007) she graduated in Product Design with honours from the UIA in 2000, Mexico City, and holds postgraduate diplomas in Project Management (ITAM, MXCY 2003) and Business Administration (LCBM, LDN 2010). Her work has been featured in a wide range of international publications and selected for design exhibitions around America and Europe. She is a regular guest lecturer and speaker in several design colleges throughout the UK and Mexico. Currently a professional furniture and interiors designer and consultant, Valentina has been developing her own brand as well of private commissions and bespoke furniture for the residential and commercial industry worldwide since 2007.
