With a particular focus on the luxury markets, this course provides an introduction to the world of retail display and design. This diverse and creative art form covers everything from understanding space, visual communication, branding, wayfinding and graphics to interiors, exhibition and store environments. By working on a number of briefs, requiring conceptual and practical thinking, you will gain an understanding of the principles involved in creating compelling designs, practical knowledge of spatial design and industry relevant skills. Visual display plays an ever-important role in strengthening a brand’s communication with its customers. And provides an opportunity to captivate and engage customers on an emotional level, enticing them to discover the in-store experience and effortlessly convert footfall to sales.
You will have understood the steps involved with successful visual communication within retail environments. You will have created mood boards to develop a concept and translate the idea into a realised, thorough design.

Carrie Mok is a creative professional with a wealth and breadth of experience in varied fields including design, advertising and fashion, architecture and graphic design. Currently working as the Global Visual Display Manager at Burberry, she is responsible for the brand's visual language across all stores globally. Carrie specializes in creating unique window schemes, pop-up boutiques and events for luxury brands; past clients include Chloe, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Marc Jacobs. She holds a Masters from Central St Martins in MA Communication Design and BSc in Architecture from The Bartlett, University College London.
