This comprehensive course explores the ways in which brands engage with their customers through visual communication in spatial environments. You will be introduced to the creative process and fundamental principles of design for windows, retail environments and events by responding to a series of set briefs. The course will stimulate conceptual and practical thinking, allow you to gain practical knowledge and develop industry relevant skills in a supportive learning environment.

Tutor information

Debbie Flowerday has been a visual merchandiser for many years; her knowledge and experience of the display and visual merchandising industry is extensive. She has worked globally for well known retailers including Max Mara, Mary Quant, Estée lauder, Top Shop, Gucci and Royal Worcester. Her key skills include Visual Merchandising, Window Concept and Product Styling, Retail Design, Store Layout, Interior Design, Exhibition, Product Styling, Photographic Styling, Events & Product Launches and VM Training & Guidelines.






Carrie Mok is an award-winning London-based creative professional, practitioner and educator.

With a wealth and breadth of agency and corporate experience in varied fields including design, advertising, fashion, architecture and graphic design, she offers a unique perspective to teaching, bringing a combination intimate industry experience and multidisciplinary technical knowledge. Carrie specialises in creating unique, immersive experiences for some of the world's most recognisable brands including Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Burberry, Wallpaper* Magazine and Gucci.

She lectures at Chelsea College of Arts and London College of Fashion and holds a Masters from Central St Martins in MA Communication Design and BSc in Architecture from The Bartlett, University College London.
