On this four-day course, you will cover the planning and design of kitchens and bathrooms for residential interiors. You will be guided through the process and during the 3.5 days of workshops, be able to put your newfound skills into practice by undertaking a kitchen or bathroom project within a specific space. We will also spend one afternoon visiting kitchen and bathroom showrooms to give you the opportunity to meet suppliers, see the latest trends and gain product knowledge.

You’ll leave able to translate a client’s brief into a feasible design proposal. You will produce a mood board together with detailed floor plans and elevations at a scale of 1:25 of either a kitchen or bathroom. After the course the skills that you learn will give you the confidence to tackle your own projects.

Ideal for practicing interior designers, and others keen to gain a working knowledge of kitchen and bathroom planning and design. It will also suit anyone interested in investigating new ideas and inspirations for their home, along with students on related courses. Basic drawing technical skills required.

Debbie Blandford has a Masters Degree from the Royal College of Art and 28 years experience working as design consultant to architectural practices and individual clients. She has a passion for working collaboratively and globally, resulting in a truly eclectic career. Projects have included hotels, bars and restaurants, aviation design, exhibitions, and high end residential interiors.
Clients have included the government of Saudi Arabia. Debbie also designs Furniture offering a truly bespoke interior service as well as developing products with Ross Lovegrove.
Alongside her professional career she has taught part time across all educational levels in both the public and private sectors as well as delivering specialist courses for companies including British Airways, The Foreign Office and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Currently Associate Lecturer at The University of the Arts London & Professor at Syracuse University.

A 0.5 technical drawing pencil
2h 0.5 drawing leads for tech pencil
A 45 degree set square (approx 250 - 300mm in size)
A Scale ruler with scales including 1:20, 1:25, 1:50, 1:75, 1:125
Pair of Scissors
Roll of 25mm masking tape
An interiors magazines of choice, such as Elle Decoration
