Description

Even if you've studied freehand drawing in the past, it's a skill that often needs refreshing. This course will focus on drawing up a room or space. Through tutorials and demonstrations, we'll teach you how to produce quick freehand sketches of your design ideas, as well as exploring a range of different rendering techniques. You'll leave the course having completed a number of drawings, along with the thinking tools to continue your freehand practice.

Course Outcomes
You'll leave the course having created a number of completed drawings, along with the thinking tools to continue your freehand practice. You will feel confident to sketch from a plan and you'll be able to create realistic 3D sketches to fully communicate your ideas to clients, colleagues and manufacturers.

Who Should Attend
Suitable for those completely new to freehand perspective drawing or a perfect refresher for those who are a little rusty after working on a computer for a number of years. All levels are welcome, whether you are a professional designer, recently qualified and starting out in a new business or applying for a longer-term of study.  Some previous experience of drawing would be an advantage – but not essential.

You can choose to study this course either online or in a classroom environment at Chelsea College of Arts. If you chose to study this course online, you will be required to undertake further independent study between sessions (2.5 – 5 hrs per week) and share your work with the group. Classes will also be recorded and made available for the duration of the course. To learn more about learning online please view our Online Short Courses page.

The location of each course, whether online or on site at John Islip Street, is indicated in the 'details for booking' below.
