Gain design inspiration, tips and skills to develop a concept and effectively translate this into a functional and stylish design. You will draw upon examples of spectacular designs by famous interior designers to find out the many possibilities of increasing the feeling of spaciousness.

Particular attention will be given to sourcing suitable furniture that is flexible and transformative, as well as showing you simple methods to design a unique and tasteful interior. The course will be delivered via presentations, short exercises and discussions.

Ana McMillin is an RIBA Chartered Architect. She is an Associate Senior Urban Designer at HTA Design LLP, London, where she leads large regeneration schemes. She has over 12 years of experience working in strategic masterplanning and concept design for public and private clients in the UK, Middle East, China and Africa. Ana has formed part of the Crits panel for the M.Arch in Urban Design at The Bartlett School of Architecture, and her written and design work has been published in Portugal, UK and Austria.

Ana is in the last stage of her PhD at the Department of Geography and The Bartlett School of Planning, UCL. Her research has been shortlisted this year by the Association of European Schools of Planning and by the Centre for Urban Research at the Department of Architecture, University of Cambridge.
