Join Architectural Drawing for Designers and learn fundamental technical drawing skills and be shown how to interpret and draw plans, sections and elevations. You will also familiarise yourself with technical drawing industry standards.
You will carry out a building survey, understand drawing conventions, annotate, use draft equipment, and use these skills to prepare your own simple plan and section.
You will then move on to consider more technically advanced representations, combining the skills from drawing the plan and section - a 3-dimensional axonometric drawing will be produced of a staircase.
Your tutor will also discuss and demonstrate the difference between a variety of drawings from planning drawings, tender drawings and construction drawings.
- Plans, Sections, Elevations and Scale.
- Survey, Drawing Preparation and Plan
- Sketch plans and elevations
