Description

Whether you are new to oil painting or have some experience, this course will build your skills and confidence in the subject. We will throw light on the materials and processes involved, and have you working from still life right from the beginning. You'll then be guided through interpreting your initial sketches and drawings, as well as organising them into a plan. We'll also demonstrate painting techniques and you'll be encouraged to practise from home between sessions if possible.

Course Outcomes
You'll leave the course with a body of work and you'll have more awareness of the diverse concepts and production of the generic process of painting. Many people move on to other visual arts courses, at intermediate or advanced levels.

Who Should Attend
Those who wish to develop the skills to express themselves through the medium of oil painting.

Course Level
Beginner/Intermediate
