At Chelsea College of Arts, we specialise in four specific subject areas: Fine Art, Graphic Design Communication, Interior and Spatial Design and Textile Design.
Our Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, based at Camberwell, gives students the chance to experience different art and design disciplines, as well as building a portfolio that will help any application to their favoured BA course within University of the Arts London and beyond.
Our Undergraduate programme consists of: FdA Interior Design, BA Fine Art, BA Graphic Design Communication, BA Textile Design, BA Interior and Spatial Design and a Graduate Diploma in Interior Design.
Chelsea provides students with an environment in which to explore their work on both a practical and theoretical level. We encourage our students to develop an individual, professional practice within the art or design subject that they choose to study.
Chelsea's Postgraduate programme consists of MA Curating and Collections, MA Fine Art, MA Graphic Design Communication, MA Interior and Spatial Design, MA Textile Design and MRes Arts Practice.
A core part of the Chelsea postgraduate experience is our theory forum, which exposes our students to a variety of visiting practitioners from different disciplines.
Postgraduate students at the College are also part of the Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon Graduate School, which is a broader collaboration between this trio of colleges. It brings an extended programme of activities to all three Colleges, including visiting lecturers, cross-College salons, crits and external events.
Chelsea has over 300 specialist short courses delivered via daytime, evening and weekend schedules.
Our orientation courses provide an introduction for International students who have been accepted onto a Foundation, BA, MA or BA/Grad Dip Interior Design course. Orientation courses enable students to adapt to London living and the study expectations of the college before beginning their full time course. Students will be advised during their application for full time study if they need to attend an Orientation Course.
