Penguin Books competition that invited students and graduates from Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon to submit proposals for sculptural artworks inspired by Penguin Little Black Classics.

Three winning artists were chosen. Each artist received a prize of £200 and the selected artworks were installed in the windows of Foyle’s, the world renowned London book store. After a month on display at Foyle’s the winning sculptures then travelled to various other locations over the course of a year.

“The response to the project was fantastic. Foyles sold 50,000 copies of the Little Black Classics and the artists can certainly take more than a little of the credit for that.” - Penguin.
