Enjoy hands-on opportunities to explore visual ideas via a variety of methods, including monoprinting, etching, relief printmaking and lithography. We'll guide you as you experiment with your own ideas, and encourage you should you wish to concentrate on certain areas. If you really catch the printmaking bug and fancy developing further, why not try one of our other printmaking courses? The fact that this course is based in some of the best print studio facilities in the country is reason enough to join us on this course.
You'll develop a body of printmaking work - a useful addition to any portfolio. You'll gain a basic understanding of printmaking, enabling you to move on to more specialised printmaking courses. You'll be able to differentiate between different kinds of print processes.
Who Should Attend:
Ideal for amateur or professional artists, both for beginners and those with a little printmaking experience. Would also appeal to students looking to enrol on accredited art courses.
Student Reviews'I found the course (Etching) really excellent. It was really well run, with excellent tuition by a friendly, enthusiastic and obviously very experienced tutor. The printmaking facilities at Camberwell were outstanding – a fabulous and inspiring place to work in for a short while. From doing the course I gained lots of ideas to take further, and it really re-ignited my enthusiasm for undertaking short courses – it’s great to spend a few days really focusing on something totally new.' - Anon
