Students reinvent the Rude Boy
|
|
As part of the celebrations around the 50th Anniversary of Jamaica’s
independence, students from the FdA Tailoring course at London College of
Fashion were asked to research and explore the significance of Jamaican
fashion and the Rude Boys subculture of the 1950s and 1960s.
The project culminated in the students presenting their work in front of a
panel of influential judges and to a live music set by Jerry Dammers, founder
of the Specials and the legendary 2 Tone record label.
