The Arts Gallery

Alexander Hoda: New Sculpture

Until 9 January 2009

The Arts Gallery
University of the Arts London
65 Davies Street, W1K 5DA

Alexander Hoda (Wimbledon, 2000) presents a challenging, controversial and unique body of work exploring fraternal relationships and how they can be understood through sex, violence, jealousy and the grotesque. Figurative groupings of deformed, post-apocalyptic creatures, finished in his signature materials latex and rubber dominate the show.

Little Black Dress

Students from the second year BA Fashion Design Technology course were challenged to design a little black dress with a contemporary twist. Three designs were chosen by Tesco to be sold in selected stores - opposite is one of the designs.

London College of Fashion has received accreditation from the Association of Business Schools (ABS), the authoritative body of business and management education in the UK.

Isobel Beauchamp (LCF, 2002) and Elinor Olisa founded DegreeArt in 2003 which provides promising emerging artists with a platform from which to launch their careers. This month, Caravan Show takes place at their new gallery.

University Collection

BEWEB TOMOMOT (2008)

David Wojtowycz
Watercolour on Paper

Wojtowycz's (Chelsea, 2008) work uses language as a visual motif, creating an image that appears to be the work of an art director for an unmade, or unmakeable film. Although the work alludes to a specific time in film history, history itself seems lost and the image could exist in the past, present or possible future. Wojtowycz’s work is currently featured in Future Map 08 at David Robert’s Art Foundation Fitzrovia. For information about any aspect of the University Art Collection, contact Medeia Cohan-Petrolino on 020 7514 8509.
