Library and Learning Resources Access

Alumni and former staff can gain reference access to all the libraries of University of the Arts London and to the Learning Zone. Here are the steps to register for access:

1. Download the Alumni Library Access application form Alumni Library Form 2011-12(PDF)

2. Contact Alumni Relations for your unique ID number. Please note forms will not be accepted without the unique id number.

3. Attach two passport sized photographs to the form and post to your College library using the addresses given below. Please note that you must obtain your Alumni Library Access card from your College library before you can access the Learning Zone. This card cannot be processed at the Learning Zone.

4. After your application has been processed the library will send your Alumni Library card to you.

5. To use the library or the Learning Zone, you will need to book an appointment in advance.

If you are unable to download the form, contact Alumni Relations with your full name and postal address and we will send you one.

Learning Zone

The Learning Zone is a social learning space and creative resource with facilities available to Alumni:

  • Work space with sofas, mobile tables, meeting/rehearsal/presentation rooms for group and/or individual work/study
  • A4 and A3 black and white photocopiers (you will need to purchase a photocopy card in the Learning Zone)
  • A cut 'n paste area with glue spraybooth, trimmers, cutting mats
  • Lightboxes
  • Core reference books


Terms and conditions

  • Please do not circulate the library access form to other alumni - it is important that they confirm their details with us before registering with the library
  • The library can only accept postal applications
  • Once the library receives your application it may take 7 - 10 days to process
  • Due to licensing regulations there is no access to networked IT facilities, including internet access - guest log-ins are not available
  • Alumni cannot use the laptop loan service at the Learning Zone
