welcome wimbledon

What does this mean for Wimbledon and the University?
The merger will maintain the ethos of the small specialist art school within a collaborative collegiate arrangement that protects and develops its distinctive identity locally, nationally and internationally. The student experience of an intimate scale college environment will be maintained whilst affording greater academic choice. Wimbledon's world-renowned reputation further enhances the University's position in art and design education. Furthermore the arrangement will generate academic, operational and creative solutions to sustain the small specialist academic community within the wider context of University of the Arts London.

What does this mean for alumni?
Joining the University will enable alumni from Wimbledon, both past and present, to access the many benefits associated with being part of Europe's largest specialist art and design university. Alumni of Wimbledon can take advantage of many benefits including invites to exclusive events and exhibitions, opportunities to participate in the emerging artists programme, opportunities to promote your work in the biannual Magazine and monthly email bulletin, discounted membership to The Arts Club and much more.

Wimbledon alumni include author and illustrator Raymond Briggs, sculptor Tony Cragg and fashion designer Phoebe Philo. Wimbledon alumni are warmly invited to join the Alumni Association at http://www.arts.ac.uk/alumni/alumniregistration.php
