In the current climate of funding cuts and increased course fees, providing financial support for our students through Scholarships and Bursaries is more important than ever.
We want to ensure that the best and brightest creative talent can realise their potential and come and study at one of our six Colleges, irrespective of their financial circumstances.
We are most grateful to the generosity of our current supporters, both individual donors, trusts and foundations and companies, whose donations make such a difference to our students, enabling them to take up their places at our Colleges, through fully or part funding their course fees, or contributing towards the expensive costs of living in London.
Scholarships and Bursaries can be made to support students across the University, or focused towards a particular College or indeed course.
Thank you to all our scholarship donors for their generous support. You can read more about these awards and the difference they can make to our students on their stories page.
We currently offer 163 scholarships or bursaries to UAL students, made possible by donations from Individuals, Companies and Trusts & Foundations, as well as through the Vice-Chancellors Scholarships and AHRC scholarships. With a student body of over 18,500 students, it is our aim to significantly increase the number of these awards offered to our student population, amongst which are many of our future stars of the creative industries in the UK and around the world. A key priority for us is to increase scholarships and bursaries for post-graduate students across our six Colleges.

How you can help
You can support the Scholarships and Bursaries Programme by donating to a specific College or to the University. Scholarships enable students to study for the full length of their course. Bursaries give valuable partial assistance to students, especially in the current challenging climate. You can either make a one-off donation or set up a regular payment. For UK taxpayers, Gift Aid adds to the value of your gift.
Supporting emerging talent can be immensely rewarding. You can choose to support the area of study that most matters to you, with the confidence of being part of a managed University-wide Scholarships and Bursaries programme. You will be introduced to your scholar(s) and have the satisfaction of being involved with their development and following their progress.
You can also name a Scholarship or Bursary. You may wish to name it after an individual who has been an inspiration to you, or a close friend, family member or your organisation. Named home/EU scholarships begin at £3000 per year and named international scholarships begin at £10,000 per year.
In addition, you can make a donation to our current scholarship fund Support our Creative Future. Every donation makes a difference for our students and your support can go direct to your selected College or to the whole University.
We would be delighted to talk through these options in more detail. To find out more, please email the Development and Alumni Relations Office or call +44 (0)20 7514 8504.
