Korean Alumni Association
We are delighted to have recently formed the UAL Korean Alumni Association based in Seoul.
The committee is keen to showcase the talents of our Korean based graduates and help the community build networks, develop relationships, find opportunities to collaborate and grow in confidence. UAL was pleased to host the first alumni event in Seoul in 2014 with an official launch event for the committee taking place in June 2015.

Recent Korean activity
The Korean Alumni Association staged the first UAL Talent Market in Seoul this April, exclusively selling products and artwork created by UAL alumni. Central Saint Martins alumna, Yu-Ju Lee, kindly allowed UAL to take over her beautiful store,Uglee Basement, for the day to give alumni the opportunity to sell and promote their work in the heart of city. UAL’s Korean Alumni Association has recently established a creative partnership with British Airways Korea to produce an exclusive, limited edition 2016 calendar.
All Korean based alumni were welcome to submit work to feature in the calendar, with the design brief asking artists to work across three themes; stories, culture and memories. All the pieces of artwork reflect the artists’ personal experiences of studying and living in Britain. Find out more via our blog
Over 100 alumni, VIP guests and friends of the University attended the launch party of the official UAL Korea Alumni Association, which was held at the British Embassy in Seoul on Thursday 18 June. His Excellency, British Ambassador Charles Hay attended the event, and gave a speech celebrating the new official Korean Alumni Association. Find out more via our blog.
