Fees and Money
ELQ fees
Fees for UK/EU students taking an equivalent or lower qualification for 2010/11
From 2008/09 if you already have a higher education qualification such as a certificate of higher education, diploma of higher education, first degree (BA/BSc) or postgraduate qualification (PG Diploma, MA, MSc) and you undertake a course at an equal or lower level the University will not receive any public funding for your place on the course.
Therefore it has determined the following fees for Home/EU students taking an equivalent or lower qualification ("ELQ"). These rates apply to 2010/2011 academic year and maybe revised for subsequent years of any course.
BA/BSc ELQ degrees
Full-time £8,300
Part-time - on application
MA Standard ELQ Fee
Full-time £8,300
Part-time - on application
Postgraduate Diploma Standard ELQ Fee
£ - on application
Postgraduate Certificate Standard ELQ Fee
£ - on application
These rates apply to courses which charge the University's standard tuition fee rate.
Non standard tuition fees apply to some post graduate courses for example at CSM, LCC, LCF and Chelsea. For these an additional ELQ element will be added to the non-standard fee. Please contact the college or school offering your course for guidance on the fee which will be charged.
Concessions
New part-time undergraduate and postgraduate students who already hold an equivalent qualification and who would otherwise be entitled to concessionary fee status will still be entitled to remission of the "non-ELQ" element of the tuition fees, but like other ELQ students they will have to pay the ELQ top-up component of the fee. The precise fee for a proposed course of study may be sought from the admissions contact for the course.
